ŠKODA ENYAQ iV

ŠKODA’s first 100% battery-powered vehicle: ENYAQ iV

ŠKODA’s first series-production model based on the Volkswagen Group’s Modular Electrification Toolkit (MEB) combines the brand’s traditional strengths such as spaciousness and emotive design with sustainable driving pleasure and many Simply Clever ideas. There are three battery sizes and five performance levels to choose from, depending on the requirement profile. The brand’s first electric SUV is produced at the main ŠKODA plant in Mladá Boleslav.

The first series-production model based on the Modular Electrification Toolkit (MEB) is well equipped for long-distance journeys thanks to ranges of up to 500* kilometres in the WLTP cycle and short charging times, also making it suitable for everyday use. The design is emotive and modern, and the interior of the vehicle has also been completely restyled. The ENYAQ iV also offers state-of-the-art connectivity and infotainment solutions and new Simply Clever features.

New drive concept and three charging options including fast charging option

The rear motor drives the rear wheels in the entry-level variants. In the more powerful versions, a second electric motor is installed at the front to transfer the torque to the road even more efficiently. A total of five different power versions and three battery sizes ensure sustainable driving pleasure. Depending on the version, either the rear wheels or all four wheels are driven. Owing to the high battery efficiency, low rolling resistance tyres (5.9 per mil) and outstanding aerodynamics for an SUV (cw from 0.27), ranges of up to 500* kilometres in the WLTP cycle are possible with the ŠKODA ENYAQ iV. From standstill, ŠKODA’s top model reaches the 100 km/h mark in only 6.2 seconds; its maximum speed is 180 km/h. The longest range of both all-wheel-drive versions is up to 460* kilometres.

The ŠKODA ENYAQ iV offers three charging options. In addition to using a standard household 230V socket with 2.3 kW alternating current, the vehicle can be conveniently charged at home overnight using wallboxes of up to 11 kW. Depending on the battery size, the charging process takes six to eight hours. As a third charging option, the vehicle can be connected to rapid DC charging points with a charging capacity of up to 125 kW. This allows the ENYAQ iV to be charged from 10 to 80 per cent in just 40 minutes*, depending on the technical requirements.

With the ENYAQ iV, ŠKODA is continuing on its path towards electric mobility, which began at the end of 2019 with the CITIGOe iV and the SUPERB iV. More than ten partially or fully electric iV models are planned between 2019 and the end of 2022 as part of the model campaign. This means that ŠKODA is entering the era of e-mobility at exactly the right time; 125 years after the company was founded, it is becoming an integral part of ŠKODA’s DNA.

The Enyaq iV also takes a fresh approach to lighting design, with technically innovative full-LED matrix headlights. The headlights create a highly dynamic and modern look, while innovative LED-technology underlines the sustainable concept of Škoda's first all-electric SUV.
